La International Federation of Muskuloskeletal Research Societies (IFMRS), de la que SEIOMM es socia, organiza dos talleres virtuales del programa Herbert Fleisch. Los talleres tendrán lugar en la semana del 18 de abril.
INFORMACIÓN SOBRE LOS DOS TALLERES
- The first, taking place on 19 April 14:00-15:30 EST / 20:00-21:30 CET, will focus on Bone Health in Weight Extremes, and will feature a lecture and a case study on two different aspects of this theme, in an interactive format. Dr. Madhusmita Misra from Harvard Medical School and Dr. Jacqueline Maya from Massachusetts General Hospital (USA) will consider bone health in the setting of anorexia nervosa, while Prof. Morten Frost and Dr. Morten Steen Hansen from Odense University Hospital (Denmark) will consider bone health in the setting of bariatric surgery.
- The second workshop, taking place on 21 April at 8:00-9:30 CET / 18:00-19:30 AEDT, will focus on Overcoming challenges for musculoskeletal health in low and middle-income countries, and will likewise feature two interactive sessions. The speakers will be Dr Ayse Zengin from Monash University (Australia), who will be speaking on the subject of embedding musculoskeletal health in the co-management of multi-morbidities in LMICs, and Dr Alexander Schade from the University of Warwick (UK), who will be discussing the epidemiology of fractures in Malawi linked to road traffic injuries together with one of his Master’s students.
